Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s haircare brand has officially arrived in the UK, launching exclusively at Space NK and delivering the biggest brand launch in the retailer’s history.
Thousands of customers headed to Space NK stores and spacenk.com on 22 September to shop Cécred in the UK for the first time. By 1pm on launch day, the brand had already achieved its predicted sales for the entire first week, before going on to break Space NK’s previous launch-day record for a new brand.
Created for all hair types and textures, Cécred combines patent-pending technology with generational haircare wisdom. Its science-backed formulas are designed to strengthen the hair, support length retention and boost shine, while celebrating the rituals and personal connections that surround hair.
The Restoring Hair & Edge Drops emerged as the bestselling product from the collection during the launch, followed by Cécred’s latest release, Temple Oud Hair Perfume.
“We could not be more thrilled with the performance of Cécred,” said Sophie Wayman, Category Director of Haircare at Space NK. “We expected the brand to resonate with our customers, but the demand is truly unprecedented.”
Wayman revealed that the retailer had already seen a surge in searches and immediate sales from 8.30am on launch day, suggesting that the extraordinary demand for the brand is likely to continue.
The record-breaking response is particularly significant because the UK has been Cécred’s largest market outside the US since the brand launched.
