Five New Beauty Launches On My Radar Right Now

There is something exciting about a new beauty launch. Not necessarily because we need another blush, powder or perfume, but because every now and then something comes along that genuinely catches your attention.

With so many new products launching recently, I’ve picked five that have caught my eye.

Dior Forever On Set Powder

Dior Beauty has just added a new powder to the Forever collection, and this is one for anyone who likes their makeup to look airbrushed without looking heavily powdered.

The Dior Forever On Set Powder is an ultra fine loose setting powder designed to set makeup, control shine and blur the appearance of pores and imperfections. The formula combines seven perfecting powders to create a smoother, more refined finish whilst leaving an invisible veil over the skin.

It also contains hyaluronic acid, which is a welcome addition in a setting powder. Rather than simply absorbing excess oil, the formula is designed to mattify whilst helping to keep the skin hydrated. Dior also claims up to 24 hours of wear and shine control, as well as a waterproof formula that can withstand hot and humid conditions.

The finish is matte but not flat, which is important. I think we’ve moved on from the days of wanting our complexion to look completely devoid of any natural dimension. This is much more about softening and perfecting the skin whilst still allowing it to look like skin.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Colour Wash

If you didnt already know, Victoria Beckham Beauty has introduced Colour Wash, a water light tint designed to give the skin a sheer, buildable wash of colour. Its all the girsl on social media have been raving about this summer.

Available in blush and bronze shades, the formula gives a fresh, luminous finish rather than a traditional layer of pigment. It’s inspired by the transparency of watercolour, so you can build the colour gradually depending on how much definition you want.

The blush can be swept across the cheeks and nose for a fresh flush, whilst the bronze shades can be used across the high points of the face for a softer, sun-kissed finish. It means you can keep the rest of your makeup quite minimal and let the skin do the work.

The formula is also infused with coconut water and mineralised sea water, helping to keep the skin hydrated whilst you wear it.

Westman Atelier Suprême Bio-Complex Liquid Foundation

Westman Atelier has entered a new category with its first liquid foundation, and naturally, it hasn’t just created another foundation.

The Suprême Bio-Complex Liquid Foundation has a weightless, medium-coverage formula that melts into the skin, leaving a second-skin finish. It’s designed to even out the complexion and blur imperfections whilst still allowing the natural texture of the skin to show through.

What makes this particularly interesting is the skincare technology behind it. The formula uses peptides, vitamin B3 and botanical extracts, alongside exosome technology, to bring skincare benefits into the foundation itself.

The finish is hydrated and natural rather than overly dewy, which makes it a good option for anyone who wants coverage but doesn’t want their foundation to be the first thing you notice.

There are 30 shades, and the formula is vegan-friendly, gluten-free, non-comedogenic and made without synthetic fragrance.

YSL Beauty Skin Affair Cushion Foundation

If you like your makeup to be easy to take with you, YSL’s new Skin Affair Cushion Foundation deserves a place on your in yur makeup bag.

The cushion format makes it easy to apply and refresh throughout the day, but the formula itself is what caught my attention. It has a breathable, second skin texture and is infused with 3% squalane, with YSL claiming an immediate 40% boost in hydration.

The finish is soft and glowy, so it gives the complexion that super fresh healthy fresh look without appearing oily. The compact also makes it particularly useful for anyone who likes to keep their base looking fresh from morning through to evening.

I love a good cushion foundation for exactly this reason. You can apply it lightly in the morning and keep it in your bag for those moments when your complexion needs a little something later in the day.

M·A·C Lustreglass StainGlass Lip Tint

M·A·C has taken the lip stain and given it a much more comfortable, glossy finish with the new Lustreglass StainGlass Lip Tint.

The lightweight formula gives lips that juicy, stained-glass effect, with sheer, buildable colour that can be layered depending on how much impact you want. It has a soft, glossy finish without the stickiness you can sometimes get from a traditional gloss, and the colour is designed to last for up to 12 hours.

The formula also includes raspberry seed oil and squalane, which help to hydrate the lips and support the lip barrier. I particularly like this because a lip stain can sometimes leave lips feeling dry after the colour has worn down, whereas this has been designed to keep them feeling comfortable whilst you’re wearing it.

There are currently 12 sheer, buildable shades, from soft pinks and nudes through to deeper and brighter tones, so there’s plenty to choose from depending on the look you’re after. The cushion like applicator also makes application incredibly easy.

I think this is a particularly good one for anyone who likes their lips to look hydrated, glossy and naturally flushed, without having to constantly reach for a mirror to touch them up.
