Dior Beauty’s 30 Montaigne Advent Calendar Brings Couture Home for Christmas

For Christmas 2026, Dior Beauty imagines its Atelier of Dreams as an enchanted confectionery workshop, where couture and gingerbread meet. That playful idea carries through to the 30 Montaigne Advent Calendar, giving one of the most recognisable addresses in fashion a decidedly festive transformation.

The calendar takes the form of the iconic Dior star, with details of the historic building’s façade. A gingerbread medallion, dusted with sparkling sugar, adds a sweet finishing touch. Open its doors and the scene becomes more theatrical: a miniature tableau showcasing a couture gown, surrounded by drawers holding the discoveries to come.

The advent calendar itself deserves a place among the Christmas decorations. Styled as a centrepiece by the fireplace or placed beside the tree, it becomes a festive ornament in its own right. Its architectural detail and festive gingerbread theme make it something to admire throughout December, with each drawer adding a little ceremony to the morning.

And its appeal continues once the final surprise has been revealed. The calendar transforms into a jewellery box for use throughout the year, giving its carefully considered exterior a purpose beyond Christmas.

Inside are 24 surprises across makeup, fragrance, skincare and lifestyle. For me, the makeup is especially tempting: some of the lip products I already love, alongside the classic red lipstick I think everyone needs in their bag.

I have been collecting Dior Addict Lip Glows throughout the year, so finding 001 Pink in the calendar is a particular highlight as well as three other lip products. The balm gives lips a sheer wash of colour, with a formula that reacts to their pH to enhance your natural shade. I love that the glow lasts for hours, while a single lip glow can last for months, depending on how often you use it. I do use mine every day and have made it last a while.

Dior Addict Lip Maximizer is another favourite of mine. It is very good at giving lips that plump-looking finish, with a gloss that makes them look fuller. The calendar includes 001 Pink, alongside Lip Glow Oil in the same shade, so there is plenty here for anyone who loves a glossy pink lip.

Then there is Rouge Dior in 999, the classic red everyone needs in their bag. Included in a 3.5g size with a velvet finish, it is the shade I would reach for when I want my lipstick to do the work: a simple outfit, a red lip, and suddenly the whole look feels more considered. Its place in the calendar makes particular sense for the festive season.

The Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Stick in 001 Pink is another makeup bag must-have. It gives cheeks a fresh pink flush with a dewy finish that catches the light, bringing colour and glow together in one swipe. For me, that rosy glow is a staple of any makeup look, whether paired with a glossy pink lip or the classic Rouge Dior 999.

The rest of the makeup selection rounds out the edit with Rouge Dior in 720 Icone, two Dior Vernis nail colours, Diorshow mascara and Diorshow Maximizer 4D. There is enough variety to move between an everyday pink lip and something more dressed up for December evenings.

Beyond the makeup, the drawers hold miniature fragrances, skincare from Dior Prestige and Dior Capture, an 85g Dior Délice candle and three ornaments.

The ornaments are my favourite detail. They look like giant gingerbread cookies for the Christmas tree, adding a playful yet luxury touch to the festive decorations. I love that they are keepsakes to bring out year after year, giving this December’s indulgence a place in Christmases still to come. Who wouldn’t want Dior ornaments on the tree?

After a long year, it feels like the ultimate gift: a moment each morning to open a drawer and enjoy a little Dior. The daily discoveries make December feel special, while the box offers somewhere to keep treasured pieces long after the decorations come down. A little piece of avenue Montaigne to keep at home.

The limited-edition Le 30 Montaigne Dior Beauty Advent Calendar is priced at £604. Shop at Dior.
