I have been modelling since I was 15 and a decade in the industry has enabled so many incredible things, one of them being the opportunity to travel all over the world. There is nothing quite like visiting a country and being immersed in the local culture – and what better way to do that than experimenting with the local cuisines. Food is the universal language that brings everyone together – the world really is my kitchen. After receiving my Economics degree at UCL, I modelled full time for four years, I then recently took part in the BBC 1 show ‘Britain’s Best Home Cook’. From this I gained so much experience and also the feeling of what it’s like cooking with a camera and under serious pressure in competitive conditions – but I loved every second of it. I now I am being trained at the world-renowned culinary school, Le cordon Bleu.
I have set up my website – Gee So Simple, where you will have access not only to my recipes, but also to a little insight into my life. I want to inspire everyone to get in the kitchen and get cooking and say – ‘gee, that really was so simple’.
