First came LA…they’ve settled in London, and next on the cards is Miami.

Sparrow Italia takes guests on a culinary voyage, showcasing the excellence that manifests through quality ingredients and Italian tradition. Transcending time, classic recipes fill the menu, tying together flavours from each corner of lo Stivale. 

Drinks

Fresh, adventurous and spirited, the cocktails incorporate Italian and Mediterranean elements, concocted into regional aperitifs. 

Fresh rosemary aroma and zesty lime notes combine, together with Blanco tequila, 1757 extra dry vermouth, agave, orgeat, guava puree, Averna, bitters, absinthe, and a hint of fire to craft ‘Sicily’. Through this meticulous blend, this cocktail beautifully captures the region — a prime example of Sparrow’s stirring mixology. 

Starring handcrafted infusions, the finest liquors and imagination, the cocktail menu is nothing short of extravagant. 

Food

The gastronomy follows suit. It features exquisite crudo, irresistible pasta, and indulgent dolci. 

For the table:

Warm, crispy Herb Foccacia is served at the start of each meal, opening the doors to their culinary haven.

Primi:

In harmony with their theme, Parmigiano & Green Nocellara Olives are the perfect accompaniment to snack on throughout your meal.

The crispy Arancini sat and topped with a luscious truffle aioli is divine. Filled with wild mushroom risotto and Parmigiano, the flavours are bold, and it is perfectly cooked, with a crispy coat and creamy centre. To enhance the dish further, guests have the option to add on truffle.

Crudo:

Next is the Crudo. 

The silky yellowtail Hamachi is seeped in a citrusy yuzu soy dressing and garnished with fresh Italian chilli. It is both tangy and refreshing

If you prefer meat over fish, however, then allow the Wagyu Carpaccio to pique your interest. Served with pickled seasonal mushrooms, pine nuts, umami aioli and shaved black truffle, this dish is light yet packed with flavour. 

Pasta:

For the main affair, the Lobster Linguini is not to be missed. From the British Isles, the juicy lobster is poached, aqua pazza style in a rich broth of garlic, chilli, cherry tomatoes and white wine. Finished with lemon parsley butter and toasted bread crumbs, it leaves a longing for more.

Presenting a simple yet sensational staple, the Cacio e Pepe is a table-side showcase. This popular tagliatelle dish is spun in a cheese wheel, and generously coated in Parmigiano, pecorino and pepper. 

Dolci:

Italian dessert is unparalleled and Sparrow Italia have managed to exceed all expectations. 

The Tiramisu is heavenly. Following the authentic, traditional method, the ladyfingers are soaked in espresso for an extended period, giving it that distinct rich flavour. It incorporates chocolate espresso sauce, layers of velvety mascarpone cream and a heavy dusting of cocoa powder. 

For more coffee-infused options, Affogato is also on the list of delights, featuring a classic vanilla bean gelato, submerged in espresso. 

And of course, it wouldn’t be an Italian affair without Cannoli. This version features one large Cannoli, filled with mascarpone mousse and topped with pistachio shavings alongside streaks of chocolate and candied blood orange sauce.

For those who prefer a savoury final course, Italian cheeses are available, served with grapes and acacia honey. 

Interior

At Sparrow Italia, each dish tells a story, and with each bite an adventure. Drawing inspiration from the cobble-lined streets of an Italian metropolis, Sparrow Italia is an enchanting setting, accentuated with olive trees.

White linen table tops adorn the neutral interiors and exposed brickwork, finish the glass-roofed terrace. The lighting is seductively lit by golden table lamps and the space honours modern European sophistication. It is clean and refined, exuding a timeless elegance. 

The restaurant is spread across three floors featuring private dining rooms and one of London’s finest cigar lounges, led by their expert Master of Havana Cigars. 

Tucked away in Mayfair, on the corner of Avery Row, Sparrow Italia is an admirable slice of Italian culinary eminence.
