Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Announces Idyllic Private Island in the Bahamas

Exuma, a stunning archipelago of 365 islands in the Bahamas, has long been a sanctuary for sophisticated globetrotters and seafarers. Today, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is delighted to announce that this idyllic destination will be the latest addition to the brand’s Caribbean portfolio, with the introduction of Rosewood Exuma. This private island retreat promises to blend ultra-luxury with adventure travel, in collaboration with Yntegra Group, a Miami-based private investment company. This development signifies Rosewood’s ongoing evolution as a global leader in luxury lifestyle, while aligning with Yntegra’s strategic vision of unlocking the investment and economic potential of the Exumas region.

Located on a 124-acre private island known as East Sampson Cay within the Exumas, Rosewood Exuma will feature just 33 suites, each offering stunning views of the island’s pink and white sands and turquoise waters, with several suites situated directly on the beach. Guests will enjoy a wide range of amenities brought to life through Rosewood’s A Sense of Place® philosophy, ensuring that every element of the resort is inspired by its location. The resort will boast six unique food and beverage outlets, showcasing local delicacies with ingredients sourced from the resort’s organic garden. Rosewood’s signature Asaya® wellness concept will immerse guests in traditional Bahamian wellness practices. The 20,000 square foot sanctuary will include six treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy facility, an outdoor tranquil pool, and a fitness centre. Additionally, an outdoor sports centre will feature tennis, padel, and pickleball courts, along with watersports equipment.

A highlight for both resort guests and visitors will be the fully serviced beach club at Rosewood Exuma, which will include a grill restaurant, beach and pool bars, and a private dining room. Two marinas are planned, with slips to accommodate yachts up to 150 feet, encouraging those travelling around the nearby islands to enjoy the beach club and various dining options. In addition to the beach club pool, the resort will offer two other pools exclusively for overnight guests, including one dedicated to families. Young guests will be invited to immerse themselves in the unique ethos of the Exumas at Rosewood Explorers, the brand’s signature children’s club, where activities are designed to spark discovery, inspire imagination, and foster social responsibility.

“It’s immensely exciting to be partnering with Yntegra Group to bring Rosewood’s signature blend of luxury and authenticity to the breathtaking Exumas,” said Radha Arora, President of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. “We have conceived Rosewood Exuma to offer a next-generation luxury experience – one that honours the quintessential character of this pristine archipelago and invites guests on a journey of discovery and adventure.”

Reflecting a shared commitment to positive impact, Rosewood and Yntegra will prioritise sustainable building practices throughout the development of Rosewood Exuma. Only 25% of the 124 acres will be developed, with initiatives such as solar-powered energy sources being implemented to minimise environmental impact. Through visionary planning, the resort will be designed to blend seamlessly into the natural island landscapes, preserving the beauty of the Exumas while ensuring a legacy of responsible and conscious development for future generations to enjoy.

“We are enthusiastic about the partnership with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and believe that the brand’s iconic hospitality expertise will help to redefine the industry in Exuma,” said Felipe MacLean, CEO of Yntegra Group. “This partnership represents our shared vision to create exceptional experiences that inspire and delight our guests while being good community partners who are committed to Exuma.”

Rosewood Exuma promises to set a new standard in luxury travel, offering an unparalleled combination of natural beauty, sophisticated design, and world-class amenities. Whether guests are seeking adventure, relaxation, or a blend of both, this new development will provide an extraordinary private island experience in one of the most beautiful regions of the Caribbean.

Rosewood Exuma will open in 2028.
