This season Pizza Pilgrims is bringing a slice of Italy to Chelsea with their newest branch opening on Kings Road. Newly opened this winter and designed to feel like a beach bar, Pizza Pilgrims Chelsea promises to send those winter blues away with warming pizza and living La Dolce Vita.
Inspired by the sun drenched lifestyle of Capri, Pizza Pilgrims Chelsea brings the Mediterranean dream to this iconic London location, known for its flower show, football being a high end dining and shopping destination.
The Chelsea branch of Pizza Pilgrims offers similarity to the other pizzeria menus with their signature pizza, a Neapolitan style that is expertly crafted over 72 hour fermented dough. This ensures the pizzas have that perfect pillowy base. Fans of the Pizza Pilgrims can still expect classics such as the famous margarita. The much loved Fiorentina and double pepperoni & spicy honey are also available in the Chelsea branch.
Pizza Pilgrims Chelsea guests can also enjoy fan favourites such as the Carbonara, a pizza served with crunchy strands of al dente spaghetti and the 8 cheese pizza. From the spritzes collection there is also a perfectly curated selection of refreshing spritzes to pair with your pizza to get everyone in the Capri mood.
With space for 40 guests on the ground floor, the restaurant features ornate tiles and stylish parasols as well as a ‘Chelsea flour show’ arch made from flour bags. The aesthetics of the interior downstairs bring an Amalfi lemon grove under a pergola where you can enjoy a spritz and the sound of the sea. Downstairs features a cinema, aptly named ‘Cinema Paradiso’, Londons first lemon grove cinema. Settle in for a movie with a slice of pizza in movie paradise. This intimate private cinema is a perfect spot for private dining and special events as well as offering ticketed screenings.
Founding a pizza pilgrims branch in Chelsea has long since been a dream of founders Thom and James Elliot, who will be surprising people with free pizza and masterclasses this November. The founders reflect on their new opening, “Bringing Pizza Pilgrims to Chelsea feels like a real milestone for us. Our dad ran a pub on King’s Road back in the day, and the area has always pulled us in. We have now secured the perfect corner site to house our Capri-style pizzeria and bring the joy of Pizza Pilgrims one of London’s most iconic roads.
