Lantana Café, London

Looking for tasty bites, cosy vibes and an exciting menu to try this autumn? Australian style London based restaurant Lantana has launched a new menu. Get ready for the brunch dates, nutritious lunches and cosy catch ups that will be happening here this season.

Since opening their doors in 2008 of their flagship restaurant in Fitzrovia, Lantana has been awarded Time Out’s Best New Café in London and gained such popularity they have opened restaurants in both the trendy locations of London Bridge and Shoreditch. Lantana boasts the publication of 2 cookbooks and has made plenty of long lasting fans in the capital.

The food served at Lantana is deliciously healthy and dining feels comfortable and relaxed. The food excellently showcases the exciting dining options that showcase Australia’s multicultural cuisines. From their four restaurants, Fitzrovia, Shoreditch and London Bridge, Lantana pride themselves on their famous aussie brunches and fresh, healthy lunches.

Lantana currently serves bottomless brunch everyday for £30 which promises 90 minutes of bottomless prosecco & mimosas and your choice of a menu item. An absolute steal for central bottomless brunching in London.

The breakfast menu is exciting, serving twists on classic breakfast faves such as Smashed Avocado, sourdough with poached egg, chilli jam, labne, hazelnut & pistachio dukkah, shaved raw courgette & herb salad to Breakfast Tacos, soft tacos with smashed eggs, grilled chorizo, pickled red onion, sour cream lime mayo, Sriracha & coriander & jalapeño salsa.

That’s not all, the London Bridge and Shoreditch branches now offer dinner options to wile away an evening with an artisanal wine, cocktail or craft ale.

From the drinks menu, the ‘Australian’ blends Manly limoncello, lemon and prosecco together to create a unique and refreshing beverage. The Chai Old Fashioned offers something to satisfy the whisky lovers with a well balanced cocktail made from Wild Turkey rye whiskey, chai syrup, angostura bitters and orange.

For those visiting during work, the non alcoholic options are equally as impressive with freshly squeezed juices and smoothies available. For productivity in the restaurant, Lantana offers private dining and hire for events or meetings.

The dinner menu has a large variety of plant based options which is always a plus to central London dining. Indonesian Fried Rice boasts the option of kimchi or shredded chicken whilst the Cauliflower Shawarma Grain Bowl tantalises the taste buds with cashew tahini ‘cream’, quinoa, kale, pomegranate, and turmeric toasted seeds.

The new menu includes dishes such as soft corn tacos with prawn & fish fritter, served with jalapeño salsa. Sweet & sour pork, tender slices of glazed pork belly served with a pineapple cucumber salad and guchujang aioli.

Look out for new small plates Cauliflower cheese croquettes with garlic aioli and corn ribettes dressed with sriracha butter. Long time fans of Lantana don’t need to worry as the Australia style restaurant will still continue to serve their much loved classic, Crispy tofu katsu served with coconut curry sauce, rainbow asian slaw, sriracha and peanut sesame chilli crunch.

The meat and fish options are equally as impressive, from the classic beef burger served with melted emmantal, pickled red cabbage, thousand island dressing and ‘chicken salt’ fries. Salmon Poke Bowl has poached salmon, seasoned black rice, tender stem broccoli with gochujang sesame dressing, edamame, spinach and kimchi.

A delightful way to finish the meal is by trying the house blend Lantana Coffee. House made cakes and slices are also available every day for that perfect sweet treat.
