I first tried baked donuts when I was visiting my best friend in West Hollywood. She brought me to this (at the time) new bakery called Fonuts, and I was hooked. Why couldn’t we have a place like this in NorCal, I thought? They had the most amazing flavor combinations like Earl Grey with Blueberry glaze, chocolate banana donuts, and other seasonal favorites.
Luckily through the magic of recipe testing and experimenting, I was able to recreate some of the flavors at home. I hope these recipes do their donuts justice, but if you’re ever in West LA, be sure to check out Fonuts! Also be sure to get some of their delicious coffee to pair.
