Whether it’s a leisurely business breakfast, a delightful afternoon rendezvous, or a memorable dinner with family and friends, the stunning surroundings provide a guaranteed retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, setting the stage for a perfect summers day.
My guest and I felt lucky to have timed our reservation perfectly with a sunlit weekend. In the ever-changing seasons of the UK, one can never be quite certain. Regardless of the weather, Homehouse’s garden remains a delightful sanctuary. The opulent Raj Tent, adorned with embroidered golden stars, stands as the home of the garden, offering warmth and coziness on brisk summer afternoons. This season, we were greeted by a breathtaking floral display at the entrance, adding to the garden’s allure.
Beneath the twinkling golden stars of the tent, basking in the warm glow of the sun, we found ourselves completely at ease. It was a moment of pure bliss. Surrounded by platters of succulent lobster, juicy steak, and piping hot pizzas, with bottles of bubbly popping open in every direction, we revealed in the joy of our first sun-drenched weekend together.
The menu was a feast for the senses, offering everything you could desire from a summer dining experience, all courtesy of Home House. We decided share our selections and began with the exquisite Tuna Tartare, zesty Devilled Chiparones, and a refreshing chopped salad adorned with plump prawns. The Tartare arrived crowned with a perfectly placed egg yolk, complementing the freshness of the tuna impeccably. So delightful was the dish that we couldn’t resist ordering a second helping, while the Chiparones delivered a burst of freshness and zest with each bite.
For our main course, we indulged in the half grilled lobster and the perfectly cooked sirloin steak, served alongside our chopped salad and crispy French fries. The lobster was a revelation, with its succulent, meaty texture and juiciness leaving us thoroughly satisfied. As for the steak, it was cooked to a flawless medium rare, bursting with flavor with every bite. To accompany our meal, we uncorked a bottle of Rock Angel, enhancing the dining experience as we joined the fellow guests in soaking up the splendid atmosphere.
After savoring our meal, we inquired about available tables for cocktails, reluctant to depart from the enchanting ambiance of The Garden. Graciously, we were escorted to a secluded corner table, offering us a splendid view of the restaurant.
As we indulged in a couple of cocktails, the evening unfolded beautifully. Eventually, we decided to treat ourselves to some desserts to share. Opting for the classic Tiramisu and the irresistible salted caramel chocolate finger, we were delighted by the lightness and sweetness of these freshly made delights. They were the perfect conclusion to our meal—satisfyingly indulgent without overwhelming our senses.
