Building Excellence in Steel
The keel laying ceremony, attended by a Lloyd’s Register surveyor, marks the official start of Project Grace’s construction. Heesen’s steel hulls are crafted off-site at Talsma Shipyard in Friesland, a Dutch region renowned for maritime expertise. This collaboration ensures precision craftsmanship, leveraging Talsma’s advanced steelwork capabilities and Heesen’s proprietary construction methods.
Upon completion, the hull will travel through rivers and canals to Heesen’s shipyard in Oss, where outfitting and finishing will occur. This rigorous, step-by-step process guarantees a robust hull that upholds Heesen’s reputation for excellence.
Design Vision
Heesen entrusted the design to Harrison Eidsgaard, whose holistic approach has delivered a yacht that balances aesthetics, functionality, and innovation.
“Project Grace exudes confidence,” says Peder Eidsgaard, “with sharp, modern lines and a profile that is timeless yet dynamic. The design integrates the fast, sporty DNA of Heesen’s aluminium yachts while prioritizing seaworthiness and comfort.”
The yacht’s layout maximizes guest enjoyment and crew efficiency, incorporating discreet crew routing, ample storage, and luxurious amenities. Full-height windows flood the interiors with natural light, while low bulwarks and the absence of fashion plates enhance outdoor views.
Key features include:
- An infinity pool and sundeck with seating for 20 guests for outdoor dining.
- A coffee table on the sundeck that doubles as a skylight for the atrium.
- Hidden storage for tenders and toys on the main deck forward.
Built for a New Era of Yachting
Project Grace reflects Heesen’s commitment to sustainability with the option for hybrid propulsion, offering silent cruising and efficient power management. Combining cutting-edge technology and refined engineering, this vessel ensures an extraordinary experience on the water.
“Hospitality is at the heart of yachting,” notes Robert Drontmann, Heesen Sales Director. “We’ve designed Project Grace to offer versatile spaces that cater to both day guests and long-term cruising. Every detail prioritizes comfort and functionality, from the layout to the features that encourage social interaction.”
