From the moment you step inside Fazenda Bishopsgate, you are enveloped in a setting that feels both grand and inviting. The restaurant masterfully balances a cool, industrial warehouse aesthetic with luxurious green tones, warm lighting, and striking feature lights that create an intimate yet stylish ambiance. Whether you’re planning a romantic date night, a special birthday celebration with friends, or an elegant gathering for any occasion, Fazenda’s setting provides the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience.
Our evening began at Bar Fino, the standalone ground-floor bar that boasts a refined selection of cocktails, beers, and wines. The bespoke cocktail menu is a celebration of South American mixology, with innovative creations that pay homage to classic flavours while embracing contemporary techniques.
Our favourites were the Underground Breeze, a refreshing and creative tribute to São Paulo’s SubAstor bar, featuring Broken Clock Vodka, Pedro Ximenez, Caju, Fennel, Mandarin, and Passion Fruit Foam. My guest particularly enjoyed the Nectar De Los Andes, a delicate and elegant clarified punch made with La Diablada Pisco, Sipello, Beesou, Hibiscus, Lychee, Passion Fruit Yoghurt, and Honey, evoking the essence of Lima’s Lady Bee.
Before diving into the full Churrasco experience, we started with a selection of small plates, which came highly recommended. Our waiter insisted we couldn’t leave without trying the Prawn Cocktail with a Fazenda twist, and we’re glad we took their recommendation. Another standout was the Croquetas De Asado, delicious bites of beef ribs, potato, peppers, and chimichurri mayo that were so good, I already want them again.
The star attraction at Fazenda is undoubtedly the Churrasco Experience. Priced at £62 per person (£49 for lunch), this feast showcases a continuous selection of fifteen grilled meats, each brought tableside by Fazenda’s skilled Passadores. The meats kept coming, making this an ideal destination for those looking for a truly filling experience – you will not leave hungry! It was difficult to pick a favourite, but the Lamb Picanha (which literally stopped us in our tracks with how tasty it was), and Ribeye stood out as absolute must-haves.
A delightful surprise was the Roasted Pineapple with cinnamon, served between courses to help with digestion – a refreshing and thoughtful touch. In addition to the meats, Fazenda offers a beautifully arranged Market Table featuring an array of cheeses, gourmet salads, fruits, and charcuterie, allowing guests to further customize their dining experience.
To accompany the meats, we indulged in a selection of freshly prepared sides. Our favourites included the Truffle & Parmesan Fries, which were rich and flavourful, and the Morrones Peppers, which added a perfect balance to the meal.
One of the standout aspects of our visit was the exceptional service. The staff at Fazenda were incredibly attentive and ensured that my dietary requirements were accommodated seamlessly. Despite needing a dairy and gluten free meal, I never felt like I was missing out, as the team provided delicious alternatives that kept the experience just as indulgent and satisfying. Their care and attention to detail truly elevated our dining experience.
To end our meal, we indulged in a selection of Fazenda’s desserts. My guest took full advantage of the highly recommended Churros – mini churros filled with doce de leite, served with a rich chocolate dip. The perfect way to round off an already incredible meal.
