Precious Adams is one of few world-renown black ballerinas and she continues to pave the way and shatter glass ceilings.
Her ingenuity has been recognised by Prix de Lausanne 2014 as a double prize winner and was awarded ‘Best Contemporary Dancer’ and the ‘Best Emerging Dancer by the National Dance Awards Critics Circle 2018.
Since 2014, Precious has been a ballerina with the English National Ballet and was promoted to Junior Soloist in 2020. You can find Precious next at the epochal Sadler’s Wells Theatre March 31st-April10th in an incredible neoclassical ballet by William Forsythe.
Precious Adams is one of few world-renown black ballerinas and she continues to pave the way and shatter glass ceilings. Training since the age of seven, her talent has landed her scholarships with the American Ballet Theatre and she has trained at some of the most prestigious schools around the world including the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Moscow, Princess Grace Academy,Monte Carlo and The National Ballet School in Toronto.
Her ingenuity has been recognised by Prix de Lausanne 2014 as a double prize winner and was awarded ‘Best Contemporary Dancer’ and the ‘Best Emerging Dancer by the National Dance Awards Critics Circle 2018. She was also hand-selected by Misty Copeland to take part in her #SwansForRelief campaign to raise money for dancers around the world impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
