Q: You’ve been quoted saying ‘you’ve been so many iterations of an L.A. girl.’ Having been around the industry from such a young age, how has your perception of beauty evolved?
CM: I’ve seen many iterations of what it means to be an L.A. girl. Growing up in this industry, my perception of beauty has evolved significantly. In my younger years, I was exploring different looks and trying to find my unique style and confidence. Now, my view of beauty has become more refined and simplified. I’ve learned that beauty is incredibly versatile and plays a crucial role in photoshoots and films, allowing for endless creativity and self-expression.
Q: What does beauty mean to you?
CM: Beauty is kindness, confidence. Beauty is about self-love and preservation.
Q: What is the best beauty advice you have ever received?
CM: Nurture the inside. When you are feeling good on the inside, loving, and taking care of yourself, that will radiate and reflect on the outside.
Q: Can you share a memorable moment where NARS played a role in your beauty journey or event /project in your career?
CM: I remember going in for an audition where I had to play a character from France in the 1930s and I wore NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in shade Dragon Girl (Vivid Siren Red). It instantly made me feel glamorous and helped mold that character for me.
