‘Women wearing ZY-PING resemble exquisite pearls, each beaming its own individual beauty’ – Tito San, Director of Paris Fashion Air
On 29th September 2024, rising Chinese designer Zhao Yaping – founder of burgeoning brand ZY-PING – presented her European debut within the fashion capital’s maison of Latin America on Boulevard Saint-Germain, housed within Paris’ coveted 7th arrondissement.
The long anticipated emergence of ZY-PING struck Paris with the label’s enchanting aesthetic and elegant hues. The brand had already garnered industry praise from internationally-recognised figures, applauding Yaping’s refined global vision and philosophy of fashion’s essence as the pursuit of true innovation.
Alongside a philanthropic nature through her charity work – including supporting the education of children with autism for almost two decades, and funding surgeries of young burn victims in China – Zhao Yaping has harboured a passion for art and fashion since childhood, viewing garb as a medium for confidence, not solely beauty. Her meticulous attention to detail complements the multifunctionality of her designs, championing fashion as a means of self-expression and a reflection of character.
The new ZY-PING collection integrates the essence of high-end customisation into daily life, creating everyday attire for the modern woman that can comfortably suit abundant settings. With simplicity, refinement and confidence as its core, the collection expresses the inner strength and charm of a woman through elegant design language. ZY-PING’s inspiration comes from the collision and fusion of traditional Eastern aesthetics and Western style. Each artwork reinterprets classic luxury with a modern eye.
As ZY-PING has developed, Zhao Yaping was joined by Amanda Meng, an Italian-based designer whose work has long been celebrated across Europe and America, and who seamlessly blends her international sensibility with Zhao Yaping’s distinct and sophisticated design ethos. ZY-PING’s debut collection is already influencing fashion sets across China and Europe, whilst also gaining significant recognition in the Middle East, referred to as a princess favourite.
ZY-PING’s European debut celebrates fashion as a resonant dialogue reflecting the brilliance of women.
