Cooper’s Cut: A Refined British Steakhouse at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane

Located within the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, Cooper’s Cut has quickly established itself as one of London’s most refined steakhouses. Blending the elegance of a luxury hotel restaurant with the confidence of a modern British steakhouse, Cooper’s Cut focuses on exceptional ingredients, seasonal British produce and impeccably executed cooking. Rather than relying on unnecessary extravagance, the restaurant allows the quality of its produce to take centre stage, creating a dining experience that feels sophisticated, understated and unmistakably luxurious.

During our visit to Cooper’s Cut, the menu showcased the kitchen’s commitment to premium British ingredients alongside world-class cuts of beef. Every dish reflected meticulous attention to detail, balancing classical technique with contemporary presentation.

The meal began with two beautifully executed starters that immediately demonstrated the restaurant’s precision. The Heritage Beetroot celebrated the natural sweetness of the ingredient, complemented by silky mustard cream and a Merlot vinaigrette that introduced just the right amount of acidity to create a beautifully balanced opening. Alongside it, the Belted Galloway Beef Steak Tartare offered a richer contrast. Expertly prepared and paired with smoked scallop and red sorrel, the dish balanced richness and delicacy with remarkable finesse while allowing the exceptional quality of the British beef to shine.

The seafood course continued that same level of refinement with the Chargrilled Scottish Langoustine. Beautifully cooked over the grill, the langoustine retained its naturally sweet, succulent texture while a saffron beurre blanc added richness without overwhelming the shellfish. Equally memorable was the Girolles on Toast, where perfectly cooked seasonal mushrooms demonstrated the kitchen’s confidence in allowing outstanding British produce to speak for itself.

The highlight of the evening, however, was undoubtedly the Hokkaido A4 Wagyu. Beautifully marbled and prepared with exceptional care, the Japanese Wagyu delivered the signature buttery texture and extraordinary richness that have made it one of the world’s most sought-after beef varieties. Served alongside a deeply flavoured Pomerol sauce and spinach, every accompaniment was carefully judged to enhance rather than distract from the remarkable quality of the Wagyu.

Dessert provided an elegant conclusion. The Granny Smith Apple Tarte Tatin with crème fraîche ice cream balanced caramelised sweetness with the fresh acidity of the apples, while the buttery pastry and cooling ice cream delivered a classic French finish executed with refinement and precision.

Cooper’s Cut succeeds through quiet confidence rather than excess. Combining exceptional British produce, premium Wagyu, expertly sourced ingredients and polished service within the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, Cooper’s Cut has firmly established itself as one of the best steakhouses in London and one of Park Lane’s leading destinations for contemporary British dining.
