Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has concluded 2024 on a high note, recording significant growth in its international operations. The airline’s latest performance report highlights a remarkable year of expansion and success, aligning seamlessly with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The airline transported an impressive 20 million international guests on both scheduled and additional flights, reflecting a 16% increase compared to 2023. Additionally, the number of transit guests exceeded 9.3 million, marking an 18% annual growth and underscoring Saudia’s pivotal role as a global connector to and from the Kingdom.
These milestones not only showcase the airline’s dedication to enhancing connectivity but also emphasize its contribution to key sectors such as tourism, entertainment, sports, and Hajj and Umrah—essential pillars of Vision 2030.
In total, Saudia served 35 million guests in 2024, a 15% increase compared to the previous year. The airline also operated 193,000 scheduled and additional flights, achieving a 10% year-on-year growth. Flight hours surpassed 581,000, reflecting an 8.5% increase, while the on-time performance rate improved to 89.1%, a 2.7% rise. Notably, guest satisfaction continued to climb, with Saudia’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) reaching 32.7, an increase of 4.5%, indicating enhanced service quality and customer experience.

Commenting on the airline’s success, His Excellency Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, stated:

Digital Transformation and Future Expansion
Saudia’s commitment to innovation has also borne fruit, as digital engagement surged in 2024. Usage of the Saudia app increased by 40%, while the Government Digital Wallet (GovClick) played a pivotal role in driving a staggering 324% growth in digital service adoption.
Looking ahead, Saudia is set to continue its ambitious growth trajectory. The airline plans to enhance its operational model during peak travel seasons, expand its fleet, increase seat capacity, and extend its global network. With a current fleet of 147 aircraft, Saudia aims to add 118 new aircraft in the coming years, further solidifying its position as a leading global airline.
