A Mediterranean Marvel – Mimosa At The Langham

In the bustling heart of London, where the elegance of Regent Street meets the timeless charm of The Langham, a new culinary gem has opened. In April this year, the esteemed MOMA Group proudly unveiled Mimosa, the latest jewel in its crown. As the UK’s first outpost of this celebrated Parisian delight, Mimosa promises to transport diners from the city’s historical streets straight to the French Riviera’s sunny beaches.

The MOMA Group, founded in 1997, has established itself as a leader in the global hospitality industry. With a portfolio boasting over 30 unique venues across the world, the group’s commitment to conviviality, simplicity, and excellence is unwavering. Mimosa at The Langham is a testament to this dedication, offering an unparalleled dining experience that places hospitality at its heart.

Mimosa is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience. From the moment guests step inside, they are greeted by the harmonious blend of French heritage and contemporary elegance. The dining room, formerly home to the illustrious Roux at the Landau, has undergone a stunning transformation under the meticulous eye of acclaimed French designer Dorothée Delaye. Renowned for her work on Coco Chanel’s apartment at The Hôtel Sookie, Delaye has infused Mimosa with a touch of Parisian flair.

High ceilings and bay windows flood the space with natural light, proudly showcasing the pièce de resistance: a gorgeous central fig tree. Dark accents are softened by pops of colour and stunning wall mirrors that whisper of timeless European charm.

At the heart of Mimosa lies its menu, a celebration of the Med’s rich culinary traditions which brings a fresh, modern twist to classic Riviera dishes. The sharing concept invites guests to embark on a gastronomic journey, with dishes designed to be enjoyed together.

Starters include beautifully presented plates such as warm Provençal Asparagus served with lemon Hollandaise and Burrata with confit baby tomatoes and basil. The warm Focaccia with extra virgin olive oil is a wonderfully warm showstopper that should not be missed, as well as Mimosa’s iconic Devilled Eggs with toppings such as black truffle and bottarga. Main courses certainly don’t take a back seat. Gratinated Tagliolini, served carbonara style is exceptional, as is the Beef Fillet Tagliata with wild roquette leaves, San Marzano tomatoes, capers and black olives.

The wine and cocktail lists are both extensive and impressive, ensuring the perfect accompaniment to any dish. Cocktails range from a delicious Paloma shaken with Volcan tequila and – naturally – their signature Mimosa made with Mercier Brut Champagne. Wine lovers are spoilt for choice with whites from Bourgogne, Rhône and Corsica and reds from France and beyond. The Domaine Chevalier Ladoix deserves a special mention, a stunning white made from juicy Chardonnay grapes. The oak barrel aging gives it a creamy texture that is simply divine.

During the warmer months, Mimosa’s large outdoor terrace becomes an alfresco delight, the ideal spot to soak up the vibrant atmosphere. Perfect for private events, the terrace can accommodate intimate seated gatherings for up to 60 guests or casual cocktail-style events for up to 120 people. A perfect slice of the Mediterranean in the heart of London.

With its Riviera spirit, exquisite design, and exceptional food, Mimosa at the Langham captures the essence of joie de vivre, delivering an unforgettable taste of the French Riviera and firmly placing the bon in appétit.
