There are some restaurants that deliver far more than dinner, and Novikov Asian remains one of London’s definitive places to see and be seen.
We visited on a Monday evening, but from the moment we arrived, it felt like a Friday night. The restaurant was buzzing, with guests dressed to the nines and tables filled with people celebrating. I was even seated beside a Premier League footballer. There was an unmistakable sense that this was the place to be.

At the heart of the restaurant is its open kitchen, fronted by an impressive display of fresh seafood and vegetables that evokes the atmosphere of an elegant food market. It brings energy and theatre to the dining room while showcasing the quality of the ingredients used throughout Novikov’s extensive Chinese and Pan-Asian menu.
The food was exceptional. We began with a selection of beautifully presented dishes, including lobster with yuzu and caviar, Seared Salmon Nigiri and Crunchy Tuna Sushi Rolls. Each plate showcased the contrasting flavours and textures for which Novikov is known, balancing freshness with richness and indulgence.

The Lobster Dumplings, crowned with truffle, were another highlight. Delicate yet deeply flavourful, they brought together two luxurious ingredients without allowing either to overwhelm the other.
No visit would feel complete without ordering the iconic Novikov Duck Salad. One of the restaurant’s best-known dishes, it continues to earn its place on the table. It is the kind of plate that immediately reminds you why certain dishes become signatures.

For dessert, we chose the Valrhona Milk Chocolate Fondant, which was a complete showstopper. Rich, decadent and impossible to resist, it provided the perfect ending to an already memorable dinner.
Novikov Asian may be known for its glamorous crowd and high-energy atmosphere, but the food remains at the centre of the experience. Supported by one of London’s most loyal and seasoned restaurant teams, it delivers polished service, outstanding ingredients and the kind of atmosphere that turns an ordinary Monday night into an occasion.
Novikov Asian does not simply feel like somewhere to have dinner. It feels like somewhere to be.
