My Little Luxuries with I’m A Celebrity’s… Kemi Rodgers

Kemi Rodgers has stepped into the spotlight as presenter of I???m A Celebrity Unpacked??? and viewers can???t get enough. Her lively delivery, quick wit and easy connection with both campmates and audiences have helped usher in a dynamic new era for the beloved series.

Kemi Rodgers is fast becoming one of Britain???s most exciting emerging talents. After just a year on Capital FM, she impressed ITV bosses so thoroughly that she secured the coveted I???m A Celebrity??? aftershow presenting role ??? a launchpad that has shaped the careers of icons such as Vick Hope, Laura Whitmore and Caroline Flack.

Here, Kemi reveals her little luxuries???

When I need to reset, I always???

Go home, see my dogs, friends and family and go to the beach. The sound of the waves hitting the pebbles is very therapeutic and I feel my shoulders drop!

To make ordinary tasks feel special, I???

Think about them being useful for the bigger picture. I have to bug them up in my head to do them, sometimes it takes a minute but I get there in the end!

The ritual that helps me feel connected to myself is???

A walk, solo, ideally no headphones. My mind is so busy and loud that I need silence or the sound of nature to clear my thoughts.

A piece of art that inspires me???

Cognoscenti in a Room hung with Pictures – by unknown Flemish artist and The Execution of Lady Jane Grey by Paul Delaroche.

These two are  my favourite pieces of artwork – Lady Jane Grey for its sheer magnitude and emotion, and Cognoscenti for its talent. I could sit and look at these two pieces for a very long time.

My room service order is???

I???ve only ordered room service once but it was butternut squash risotto and fries – gimme all the carbs!

When I???m travelling I always treat myself to???

A little souvenir of the place – whether it???s an item of clothing from a market, or a little trinket, it???s nice to collect memories.

When I have time to myself, I love to???

Go to a museum, gallery, or an old house/castle. I love to learn something new so if I have time, this is where I will spend it.

I feel most connected to others when I???

Visit them! Sometimes life can get so busy so I try to pop meet-ups in the diary even if it???s 4 months in advance.

My favourite scent is???

Van Cleef and Arpels – Reve de Encens. I actually don???t own this scent because it???s so spenny but I???ve been obsessed with it for years I think I might need to treat myself.

I love collecting???

Little bits and bobs for the memory box – usually relating to the places I???ve been or jobs I???ve done!

A song that brings me joy???

I could give you a whole playlist – but the first song I remember being obsessed with is She Loves You – The Beatles. So whenever I hear that, I???m immediately so happy.

My skincare routine isn???t complete without???

Moisturiser – either Skin Rocks Moisturiser which gives me the silkiest skin, or my trusty Cerave which I slap on everywhere but sometimes I???ll pop it on my face for a big moisture boost!

I feel the most beautiful when I???

Feel confident with no makeup! When the skin is behaving, the eyebrows are waxed, and the under eye bags are gone – not often all three happen simultaneously but we can pray.

To celebrate, I treat myself to???

I???ve treated myself twice in my life, and it???s been a bag on both occasions – so I think I should stick with that theme!

A city with a special place in my heart???

Paris – I know it???s cliche, but it???s just beautiful!

My favourite food in the world is served???

At home. I know it???s cliche, but my boyfriend is such a good cook that I love everything he cooks!

On a Sunday morning you can find me???

In bed, with a cup of tea – about to make a gorgeous brunch. It???s a properly chill out day in my household!

If I was given ??1,000,000, I would???

Buy a holiday home for my family. And invest the rest!

Kemi hosts on radio on Capital FM weekdays 11am – and I???m a Celebrity Unpacked! alongside Joel Dommett on ITVX
