Just a short stroll from the river Thames, Noci has opened its doors in Richmond, offering a welcoming spot for pasta lovers. With a modern yet cosy interior, the restaurant is an inviting place to gather for a meal, whether it’s a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends. Noci also has locations in Islington, Battersea, and Shoreditch, making it a familiar name for those in search of quality Italian fare.
Noci’s menu celebrates seasonal ingredients, showcasing both classic pasta dishes and creative small plates inspired by Italian heritage.
We started our meal with seared octopus accompanied by lemon-dressed potatoes, ‘nduja, and ricotta—a lovely balance of flavours and textures. We also tried crispy parcels filled with aubergine, Parmesan, and basil. Delicately fried and oozing with flavour, they were complemented by a smooth basil mayo.
For the main course, we shared the veal and pork Genovese ragu, served with paccheri. This comforting dish was hearty and finished tableside with elegant shavings of Monk’s Head cheese from a wheel by our attentive waiter. The amatriciana featured ziti, Datterini tomatoes, crispy guanciale, and pecorino. The pasta portions are modestly sized, perfect for sampling a couple of dishes and making it easy to explore the menu.
To finish, we enjoyed two desserts that highlighted Noci’s playful approach. The plant-based chocolate mousse, enhanced with olive oil and sprinkled with Maldon sea salt and Marcona almonds, was a rich delight. The sweet, creamy lemon and passion fruit budino provided a refreshing contrast, rounding out our meal nicely.
In a town bustling with dining options, Noci stands out as a charming place to enjoy fresh pasta and good company.
