VOGUE China Proudly Presents the Zhong Zixin Spring/Summer 2025 London Fashion Show

On the 17th of September 2024, VOGUE China will be hosting a highly anticipated event as emerging Chinese designer Zhong Zixin unveils her Spring/Summer 2025 collection at Bacchanalia Mayfair’s exclusive room, Apollo’s Muse.

As the inaugural winner of the VOGUE China Fashion Fund Chinese Designer Prize, Zhong Zixin has consistently drawn inspiration from her family and heritage, seamlessly blending Eastern aesthetics with modern fashion perspectives. Her unique brand, Zhong Zixin, has garnered acclaim from leading fashion authorities in both the East and West.

Following her international debut at Parisian palace, Hôtel de  Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, during the Autumn/Winter 2024 Fashion Week, VOGUE China once again propels Zhong Zixin and her brand onto the global stage, showcasing the remarkable creativity of China’s new generation of young designers to the international fashion arena.

The VOGUE Fashion Fund was originally established in 2003 by VOGUE US and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) to provide financial support and business guidance to the next generation of designers. In 2023, the VOGUE China Fashion Fund officially launched its 360 programme supporting local talent in the Chinese market, dedicated to fostering the growth and development of Chinese fashion designers.

The programme aims to provide exceptional platforms for Chinese brands, build bridges between local designers and international resources, and showcase the innovative spirit of China’s young designers on a global scale, shaping the future of the fashion industry in the local market.

Bacchus, Zhong Zixin’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, draws inspiration from the famous painting Bacchus by acclaimed Italian artist Caravaggio. The work’s languid and opulent atmosphere evoked memories of Zhong Zixin’s childhood, where grapevines climbed the trellises filling her home with the fragrance of fresh fruit.

The wine made by her family from these grapes remains a cherished memory. Considering these images, Zhong Zixin’s Spring/Summer 2025 presentation infuses classical elegance with mythological vision betwixt Art Deco detailing. The goblets under Bacchus’ domain are transformed into flowing silhouettes, whilst grapes and vines intertwine to create rich textures. Contrasting shades and sizes of mosaic pieces are reassembled, resulting in a timeless visual effect that continues to enrich the sophisticated yet relaxed modern world of Zhong Zixin.

This invitation-only fashion show will be fittingly staged at Apollo’s Muse – London’s most exclusive room within Bacchanalia, in the heart of Mayfair. Concepted and owned by renowned businessman Mr Richard Caring, Apollo’s Muse is inspired by ancient wonders of the world, and home to antiquities dating back to 2AD – it is a living museum. The ancient Greek & Roman sculptures adorning the walls and ceilings further enhance the Zhong Zixin show’s classical and mystical ambiance.

In attendance, nearly a hundred guests including top executives from Condé Nast China, brand representatives, international media, and members of the Chinese Embassy, are due to gather within the grand, museum-like setting of the Apollo’s Muse to witness the successful launch of Zhong Zixin’s international fashion show.

On the same day, coinciding with China’s traditional Mid-Autumn festival, global award-winning restaurant Hakkasan Mayfair will host an exclusive dinner in celebration of the show. Immersed in Hakkasan’s gastronomic authenticity, diners will enjoy traditional mooncakes and signature Chinese delicacies, celebrating an unforgettable Mid-Autumn night in London and bringing a perfect close to Zhong Zixin’s Spring/Summer 2025 debut at London Fashion Week.
