With school holidays just around the corner, we’ve put together a fabulous list of kid-friendly foodie spots perfect for a delightful family day out. From the fun-filled Three Daggers in Wiltshire to free dining for children under 10 at Nessa and Mortimer House Kitchen, there’s something for even the littlest gastronaut.
ROKA
ROKA, the celebrated Japanese robatayaki restaurant, is marking its 20th anniversary with a special Kodomo Han Setto brunch for kids. At their Canary Wharf and Aldwych branches, young diners can enjoy a starter platter featuring Steamed edamame with sea salt, Cucumber maki with roasted sesame seeds, Crispy prawn and avocado maki, and Japanese fried chicken with chili mayo. For mains, options include Salmon fillet teriyaki with sansho salt and Cod fish fingers with yuzu mayonnaise, topped off with Vanilla ice cream. Available every Saturday (11.30am-4pm) and Sunday (11.30am-7.30pm), priced at £16.50 for kids aged 5-10, and free for children under 5.
The Three Daggers
Just an hour and twenty minutes from London Paddington, The Three Daggers in Westbury is perfect for a day trip. Enjoy stunning views of Wiltshire, an on-site brewery offering tasting flights, and a fantastic pub menu served inside or out. Kids can run wild in the big playground, while adults explore the farm shop stocked with local artisan products. The pub is steeped in history, located on the site of the 878 AD Battle of Edington and close to Stonehenge, Bath, Salisbury, and Avebury.
Pastaio, Soho
If you’re near Oxford Street and need a quick bite, head to Pastaio. This popular fast-casual pasta joint by Stevie Parle offers a dedicated kids’ menu. For £6, children can enjoy a half portion of pasta, like Bucatini carbonara or Tomato rigatoni, accompanied by a fresh vegetable pot and a scoop of ice cream for dessert.
Fatto a Mano
Fatto a Mano, known for its authentic Neapolitan pizzas, offers a budget-friendly kids’ menu at its five locations across London, Brighton, and Hove. For just £6, kids can choose a pizza, such as Margherita, Fatto (with mushrooms, ham, and olives), or Pizza salami, followed by a scoop of gelato or sorbet. Adults can enjoy the special ‘Trealy Farm’ pizza, available from July 15th to August 19th, topped with spicy lamb and beef sausage, roasted aubergine, ricotta, mozzarella, and crispy capers.
Rosa’s Thai
Rosa’s Thai, co-founded by Thai chef Saiphin Moore, offers a Little Rosas menu perfect for young diners. For £7.50, kids can enjoy a starter, main, and drink. Dishes include Crispy homemade spring rolls, Chicken satay, Stir fried flat noodles with sticky soy sauce, Chicken rice, and Tom ka soup. Finish with Vanilla ice cream with strawberry bubbles for an extra £1.50. Plus, there’s a selection of animal illustrations to colour in and an origami elephant to craft while waiting.
The Laundry’s Summer Soft Serve Series
The Laundry in Brixton has launched a Summer Soft Serve Series, perfect for a summer treat. Chef Melanie Brown and Executive Chef Sami Harvey offer playful, nostalgic soft serve flavours like Malt, Milk, Coconut, Peach, Strawberry, and Lime. Kids can top their ice cream with fun toppings like Tim Tam smash, Hokey Pokey, Choc Chip Cookie, and Homemade Ice Magic. Available to eat in or takeaway from 12pm throughout July and August.
Mortimer House Kitchen, Fitzrovia
At Mortimer House Kitchen, Executive Chef Tom Cenci offers free meals for kids under 10 throughout the school holidays (July 22nd to August 31st). Kids can enjoy a pasta dish and dessert, while adults indulge in seasonal specials like Pea tortelloni, Sardinian gnocchi, and Torta 900.
Nessa, Soho
Nessa, a modern bistro in Soho, offers a special kids’ menu featuring Cornish hake goujons, Corn-fed chicken with peas and fries, or Penne with tomato sauce, followed by ice cream. During the summer holidays, kids eat free with a dining adult from July 22nd to the end of August.
